About Lake Como NJ

Lake Como is a borough located in Monmouth County, NJ. As of a 2019 census it has an approximate population of 1,740 residents. It was originally formed as the borough of South Belmar in 1924 by an act of the New Jersey Legislature. In 2004 voters approved changing it to Lake Como and that became effective in January, 2005. Presumably it is named after Lake Como in Italy. The borough of Lake Como is bordered by the Monmouth County municipalities of Belmar, Spring Lake, Spring Lake Heights and Wall Township.
