About Deer Park NY 

Deer Park is a hamlet and census designated place in the town of Babylon in  Suffolk County, NY  As of a 2019 census it has an approximate population of 27,479 residents. What is now known a Deer Park was started by Charles Wilson in 1853.  Farming was a staple of this small town for most of its history, but after World War II it ceased to be agricultural.  There are no records stating the origin of the town’s name.  Deer Park is bordered by the Suffolk County municipalities of Wyandanch, Wheatley Hills, Dix Hills, Brentwood, Baywood and North Babylon.
